What is the Cannes Yachting Festival?
The Cannes Yachting Festival is described by its organiser as Europe's leading in-water boat show. The 2026 edition runs from 8 to 13 September 2026 across two harbours of Cannes: the Vieux Port, at the foot of Le Suquet, devoted to motor yachts and marine innovation, and Port Canto, at the eastern end of the Croisette, which gathers the Sailing Area, the Yacht Brokerage Area, the Toys Area and the Power Boat Marina. More than 700 boats from 5 to 55 metres are shown afloat, with sea trials leaving from the quays, and the Palais des Festivals is given over to high-end yachting.
The organiser displays figures of around 56,600 visitors, more than 680 exhibitors and around 680 journalists on its site. The show belongs to the French Nautical Industries Federation and is organised by RX. The 2027 edition is expected in September 2027; its dates are to be confirmed by the organiser.

A boat show afloat is built on the water before the public arrives. Shipyards and equipment makers bring their sales teams, technicians and hostesses to Cannes two or three days ahead to berth the boats, dress the stands and rehearse the sea trials, and they stay until the last visitor leaves on the Sunday: eight or nine nights is the usual exhibitor stay. Captains and crews deliver the yachts, keep them spotless for a week of visits and often sleep ashore because a boat on show is not a boat you can live on. Brokers, owners and serious buyers book three or four nights around their appointments; the public comes for a day or a weekend.
The result is a town that fills from the weekend before the opening to the Sunday night after it, in the last warm days of the season. The residence applies a minimum stay of 2 nights on these dates; the larger sea-view apartments, which suit a crew or a sales team, are the first to go.

What is Cannes like during the Yachting Festival?
Early September is Cannes at its most generous: the sea is still warm, the beach restaurants are open, the summer crowds have thinned, and for six days the two harbours turn into floating exhibition halls. The Vieux Port, under the old town of Le Suquet, is packed with motor yachts and tenders; Port Canto, at the far end of the Croisette, hosts the sailing boats, the brokerage yachts and the toys. Between them, the Croisette carries a steady stream of badges, and the restaurants of the Suquet and the rue d'Antibes are booked for the evenings of the show.
Résidence La Palme d'Azur stands in Cannes La Bocca, the seafront district west of the centre, 3.2 km from the Old Port and 100 m from the beach, facing the same bay the boats sail out into. You sleep in a self-contained apartment with a terrace, swim in the pools before the pontoons open, and reach the harbours by bus along the shore or by car. Shops and a supermarket are 300 m away for the breakfasts a crew eats at six and the suppers a sales team eats at eleven.

Three things to settle before the show opens
Book the set-up days with the show days. An exhibitor's week starts when the boat is berthed, not when the gates open. One apartment from the Saturday or Sunday before to the closing Sunday is easier to find than a short stay you then try to stretch; the pre-filled link starts on 2026-09-07 and you move the arrival back in the engine.
Decide which harbour is yours. Motor yachts and innovation are in the Vieux Port, sailing and brokerage in Port Canto, at opposite ends of the Croisette. From La Bocca the bus drops you beside the Palais in about 10 minutes for the Old Port; for Port Canto, allow the extra distance along the promenade.
Give the crew its own hours. Captains leave at dawn to polish the boat, sales teams come back after the last dinner with a client. An apartment with separate bedrooms, a kitchen and a 24/7 entry code lets everyone keep their own rhythm without a lobby to cross.

A broker, a journalist, a captain sleeping ashore
A studio or a one-bedroom apartment: a kitchen for coffee at six before the pontoons open, a table for the day's appointments, and the bay from the balcony once the last visitor has gone. The studios are sold on this site only.
A shipyard's sales pair, an owner and a partner
A separate bedroom and a living room mean one can take a call from the yard at midnight while the other sleeps before an early sea trial. The sea-view one-bedroom looks straight onto the water the boats cross.
A stand team, the crew of a yacht on show
Two bedrooms or a duplex over two floors give every crew member a door to close, one table for the evening debrief and, in the duplexes, a second bathroom for the morning rush. One invoice per apartment, issued to the shipyard or the management company.

What should a crew or an exhibitor from abroad expect on arrival?
Shipyards from Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States and further afield bring their teams to Cannes for the show, and crews arrive by sea or by air with a boat to prepare the next morning. The residence is organised for people who keep odd hours.
Keys in a secure locker, at any hour
Your personal code arrives before you travel and opens the locker at the residence entrance where the keys are kept. Check-in starts at 5 pm; the locker works at midnight after a client dinner and at dawn before a delivery run.
Nice airport in about 25 minutes
30 km separate the airport from the residence: about 25 minutes by taxi, about 45 by airport coach to Cannes station, about 70 by shuttle and train. Apartments are vacated before 10 am; a later check-out is possible on request when the next arrival allows it.
An invoice for the shipyard, the broker or the management company
Whether you book online or on a quote, the invoice goes to the company you name, with French VAT on its own line. A crew spread across several apartments can have one invoice per apartment or one for the whole team.
Cards from any country
You pay online by card, through whatever authentication your bank requires; a quote is paid the same way. There is nothing to settle in cash on site and no key deposit to leave at a counter.

Each apartment has a fitted kitchen and room for a laptop and the show's paperwork. Guest Wi-Fi passes are sold on site, from one hour to one month, with a business plan on top; if you must upload sea-trial videos, keep your mobile data as a second line.

Is an apartment a good idea for the Yachting Festival, or should you stay by the harbour?
If your boat is berthed in the Vieux Port, a hotel room above the quays has an obvious appeal, at the rates and in the noise of show week. An apartment 3.2 km along the shore answers a different need: a living room where a sales team spreads out contracts and boat plans, a kitchen so that nobody depends on a restaurant at seven in the morning, bedrooms with doors for a crew on different watches, and a terrace over the same bay.
One invoice covers the bill, the stay can be as long as you like above the 2-night minimum, and a captain who has just brought the boat in lets himself in with a code at any hour. For families who come with a ticket for the weekend, the pools, the water slide and the beach turn the show into a holiday.

How do you house a crew or a stand team of eight or more?
A single apartment, booked online with the show dates already entered, takes up to seven people. When should you book accommodation for the Cannes Yachting Festival?
For the 2026 show the answer is now: the pontoons open on 8 September 2026 and the pre-filled link shows in real time which apartments are still free between 2026-09-07 and 2026-09-13. If the type you want is gone on those nights, shortening the stay to the show days or moving the arrival forward often frees an option, and the quote form gives us a way to offer a combination of apartments rather than a refusal. For the 2027 edition, shipyards and brokers who come every year write to us in the autumn, once their stand is confirmed, and ask us to hold the same apartments before they return to general sale; the dates will be added to this page the day the organiser publishes them. Cannes is a small town for a show of this size, and the second week of September is taken every year.
Can you see the boats of the show from the residence?
Partly, and we would rather be precise. The sea-view apartments and the pool terraces face the bay of Cannes, and during the show the yachts leave both harbours for sea trials on that water; from a balcony you will see boats crossing the bay on most days, but the pontoons, the stands and the boats at berth are 3.2 km away in the Vieux Port and further along in Port Canto, and we make no promise about which yacht passes when. The beach is 100 m from the door for a swim between two appointments, the two pools and the poolside bar are open until the end of October, and the residence is quieter at night than the quays. If your job keeps you on the pontoons from eight to eight, plan the bus or the car; if you come as a visitor for the weekend, the bay is your second show.
Can a shipyard or a management company get one invoice for a crew arriving on different days?
Yes. Tell us the company's legal name and address, online or in the quote request, and the invoice is made out to it, French VAT itemised, then e-mailed when the stay is over. A crew that arrives as the boats come in, two people on the Saturday and four on the Monday, is handled on a quote so that each apartment has its own dates, and you choose between one invoice per apartment and a single invoice for the team. Cards are charged online with bank authentication; larger groups can pay against the quote. Parking follows the same logic: spaces in the underground car park are reserved with the apartments, within the 1.85 m height limit, so vans with trailers or tenders on the road need another solution, which we can point you to.
