What is TFWA World Exhibition & Conference?
TFWA World Exhibition & Conference is the annual global summit of the duty free and travel retail industry, held in Cannes for more than thirty years by the Tax Free World Association. The 2026 edition runs from 27 September to 1 October 2026 at the Palais des Festivals, 1 boulevard de la Croisette: an opening day on the Sunday, then four days of exhibition, conference sessions and pre-booked ONE2ONE meetings.
It brings together the brands that supply airport and border shops, the retailers and travel operators that buy from them, and their partners: agencies, logistics, media. Attendance is by professional registration only, and the week ends with the Thursday closing of the halls. TFWA has not yet announced the dates of the 2027 edition; this page will be updated as soon as they are official on tfwa.com.

TFWA traditionally keeps the same late-September slot in Cannes. Until the 2027 dates are published, the booking engine shows live availability on any dates you enter, and a quote request secures a team stay in advance.
Open the booking engineWho comes to TFWA, and for how long?
Three profiles share the Palais for the week. Exhibitors arrive first: stands are built before the Sunday opening, so their teams often land on the Friday or Saturday and stay until the Thursday evening. Buyers and retail delegates follow a diary of ONE2ONE meetings that starts on the Monday morning; most arrive on the Saturday or Sunday and leave when the halls close. Conference delegates, press and partners come for the sessions and the evening functions and sometimes stay only part of the week.
For accommodation this means one thing: the whole town fills for the same five days, and the residence applies a minimum stay of 3 nights on these dates. Booking early is the only way to choose your apartment type rather than take what is left.

What is Cannes like during TFWA week?
Late September is one of the best moments of the year on the Croisette: the summer crowds have gone, the terraces are still open and the light is soft over the bay. The Palais des Festivals sits at the western end of the Croisette, next to the Old Port, and the whole business district of Cannes is within walking distance of it. TFWA delegates arrive the weekend the Régates Royales close (19 → 26 September 2026), so the port is still full of classic yachts on the Saturday.
Our residence is in Cannes La Bocca, the western seafront district, 3 km from the Palais. The trade-off is simple: you sleep 100 m from the beach in a quieter neighbourhood, with shops and a supermarket 300 m away, and you reach the halls in a few minutes. In the evening, the town centre and the Croisette are the same short trip in the other direction.

Three practical tips for the TFWA week in Cannes
Book before the summer. Cannes has far fewer beds than a capital city, and TFWA fills them with the same five nights every year. Apartments large enough for a team go first; the minimum stay of 3 nights applies whatever the size you choose.
Plan your journeys like a delegate, not a tourist. The buses to the Palais stop two minutes from the residence and run along the seafront; by car, allow 5 minutes off-peak and more at the evening rush. Leaving the car in our underground car park and taking the bus in the morning is often the calmest option.
Keep the evenings flexible. The TFWA programme runs late, dinners are booked at the last minute and colleagues fly in on different days: an apartment with its own kitchen, separate bedrooms and a 24/7 entry code absorbs all of that without a reception desk in the loop.
Which apartment for a TFWA exhibitor, buyer or team?
Seven apartment types, all self-catering, all with a balcony or a terrace, in one residence with two pools 100 m from the beach. The sizes and capacities below are those of our official listings; the links open each apartment's page with photos and live availability.
A buyer, a brand representative, a journalist
A studio or a one-bedroom apartment gives you a real table to prepare the next day's meetings, a kitchen for an early breakfast before the halls open, and the sea from the balcony when you come back.
A sales duo, a director and an assistant
A one-bedroom apartment with a separate living room keeps two working rhythms apart: one prepares in the living area while the other takes a call in the bedroom. The sea-view version is our guests' favourite.
An exhibitor's stand team, a retailer's buying delegation
Two bedrooms or a duplex: everyone has a bedroom, the team meets around one table for the debrief, and the duplexes add a second bathroom. One invoice for the whole apartment, in the company's name.

What does an international delegate need to know before arriving?
Most of our guests during the show fly in from outside France. Everything below is designed for someone who lands at Nice in the evening, works long days at the Palais and needs a clean invoice at the end.
24/7 self check-in by code
You receive a personal code before arrival; it opens a secure locker at the entrance where your keys wait. From 5 pm on the day of arrival, at any hour of the night, no reception desk to catch.
Late flights welcome
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is 30 km away, about 25 minutes by taxi. A landing at 11 pm still gets you into your apartment the same night. Check-out is before 10 am; a later departure can be requested.
Invoice in your company's name
The invoice is issued to your company, with the French VAT shown separately, whether you book online or through a quote. One apartment, one invoice; a delegation can be split by apartment.
Secure card payment
International cards are accepted online with bank authentication; the professional quote can be settled by card as well. No cash needed on arrival.
Assistance in English, by phone
There is no front desk on site; our team answers in English and French on +33 4 89 41 29 30 and by message, before the stay and during it, for keys, parking or a change of dates.
Kitchen, workspace, guest Wi-Fi
Every apartment has a fitted kitchen and a table to work at. A guest Wi-Fi network is available on site with paid passes by the hour, the day, the week or the month, and a business plan; delegates who plan a live broadcast should also count on their own mobile data.
Why choose an apartment over a hotel room for TFWA?

A hotel room on the Croisette puts you a few hundred metres from the halls, at Croisette prices, in a building that is full of the same delegates as you. An apartment 3 km away trades that proximity for space: a living room to receive a client for a quiet conversation, a kitchen so the team is not dependent on restaurant bookings, separate bedrooms, and a terrace where the day ends facing the sea.
The cost is shared between colleagues on a single invoice, the length of stay is yours to decide above the 3-night minimum, and the 24/7 code means nobody waits for a night porter. For exhibitors who arrive early and leave late, the calmer district also means sleeping well, which is worth a lot by the Thursday.
How do you book for a company or a team of eight or more?
Up to seven people, book the apartment online with the TFWA dates pre-filled. From eight participants, the group configurator assembles the right combination of apartments in one basket and shows the available rates; beyond eighty people, or for staggered arrivals, split invoicing or several cars to park, our team prepares a quote within 48 working hours.
What a company booking includes
- All apartments in the same residence, one entry code per apartment, active 24/7
- A single contact person from the quote to the departure, in English or French
- Invoice in the company's name, French VAT shown, one invoice per apartment if you prefer
- Underground parking for the team's cars, booked with the stay
Before you book for TFWA Cannes
How early should you book accommodation for TFWA Cannes 2026?
As soon as your participation is confirmed, and ideally before the summer. TFWA occupies the same slot every year, the town has a limited number of beds, and the apartments that suit a team of four or more are the first to go. Our booking engine shows live availability with the TFWA dates already filled in, from 2026-09-26 to 2026-10-01; if the type you want is no longer free, try one night earlier or later, or send a quote request so that we can propose a combination of apartments. Once the organiser publishes the 2027 dates, the same page will carry a pre-filled link for the following edition, and companies that return every year can ask us, through the quote form, to reserve the same apartments for the next show before they go on general sale.
Can you check in late at night after a flight to Nice?
Yes, at any hour. Check-in opens at 5 pm on the day of arrival and the entry works around the clock: before the stay you receive a personal code, it opens a secure locker at the residence entrance, and your keys are inside. There is no reception desk to reach before it closes, which suits the late flights into Nice Côte d'Azur, 30 km away, about 25 minutes by taxi. Your apartment is ready, the underground car park is open if you drive, and our team remains reachable by phone in English if a code or a locker gives you any trouble. If you land in the morning instead, an earlier check-in can be requested; it depends on the previous guest's departure and is a paid option, so ask before you travel rather than on the day.
Do you issue invoices to companies based outside France?
Yes. Enter your company name and address at booking, or in the quote request, and the invoice is issued in that name with the French VAT shown as a separate line; many of our TFWA guests are brands and retailers registered in other countries and their finance departments receive the document by e-mail after the stay. For a delegation, we can issue one invoice per apartment or a single invoice for the whole group, whichever your accounting prefers. Payment is by card online, with the bank authentication your card issuer requires, or against the quote for a group. Whether the French VAT can be recovered in your own country depends on your company's situation and is a question for your accountant, not for us; what we provide is a compliant document with every amount itemised. Our team answers questions about invoicing in English before you commit.
