What is MIPCOM Cannes?
MIPCOM Cannes presents itself as the number one global media and content business market: the gateway to the global content business where studios, platforms, broadcasters, creators, brands and AI innovators choose to meet each year. The 2026 market runs from 12 to 15 October 2026 at the Palais des Festivals, 1 boulevard de la Croisette, with four days of networking, meetings, screenings and conferences. Days are long: pre-booked meetings from the morning, screenings in the afternoon, parties at night.
It is preceded by MIPJunior, the kids and family content market, on 10 → 11 October 2026, held for 2026 entirely inside the Palais. Buyers, producers and distributors therefore often book a single stay covering both. Entry is reserved for registered professionals. MIPCOM 2027 is expected in October 2027; its dates are to be confirmed by the organiser and will appear here once official.

The market lives on appointments. Buyers from broadcasters and platforms fill a diary of half-hour meetings that begins on the Monday morning and only pauses for screenings; most of them land on the Sunday and leave on the Thursday evening. Distributors and sales agents occupy the stands and hospitality suites, which means arriving a day earlier to set up and welcoming clients until the last slot on the closing day. Producers, creators and studio executives pitch, sign and celebrate: the Opening Night Party sets the tone for evenings that end late on the Croisette.
Add the kids and family buyers who come for MIPJunior on the previous weekend and stay through the week, and you have a town that is full from the Friday to the following Thursday. On these dates the residence applies a minimum stay of 3 nights, and the larger apartments are reserved months ahead by companies that come every year.

What is Cannes like during MIPCOM week?
Mid-October in Cannes is the tail of the season: the beach clubs are winding down, the Croisette belongs to the badge-wearers, and the Palais des Festivals, at the western tip of the promenade beside the Old Port, becomes the centre of gravity of the television world for a week. Conversations start in the halls, continue on hotel terraces and finish in the restaurants of the Suquet and the rue d'Antibes, which book up for the evenings of the market.
Résidence La Palme d'Azur stands in Cannes La Bocca, the western seafront district, 3 km from the Palais and 100 m from the beach. You leave the noise of the Croisette behind at night, sleep in a self-contained apartment with a terrace, and rejoin the market in the morning by bus along the shore or by car. Shops and a supermarket are 300 m away for the breakfasts and late suppers a diary of meetings never leaves time for.

Three things to plan before MIPCOM week
Decide on MIPJunior first. If your buyers cover kids and family content, the weekend market means two extra nights at the start of the trip. Book the whole stretch in one go: a single apartment for the week is easier to find in the spring than two separate bookings in September.
Choose your commute. From La Bocca the bus runs along the sea and drops you a short walk from the Palais in about 10 minutes; the car takes 5 minutes when the Croisette is clear and longer at the evening exit. Many delegates leave the car in our underground car park for the week and switch to the bus and taxis.
Protect your evenings. Screenings and parties finish late and colleagues arrive on different flights. An apartment with a 24/7 entry code, separate bedrooms and a kitchen for a late supper lets everyone keep their own hours, without a hotel lobby and its queues at midnight.

What should a delegate from abroad expect on arrival?
MIPCOM draws its participants from every continent, and our October guests mostly arrive through Nice airport with a full diary already in their phone. Here is how the residence fits a week that starts before the first meeting and ends after the last party.
Keys from a secure locker, day or night
A personal code reaches you before departure and opens a locker at the residence entrance holding your keys. Check-in starts at 5 pm and the locker works at 3 am as well as at 6 pm: an Opening Night Party is no reason to worry about a closed desk.
Nice airport in about 25 minutes
The airport is 30 km away. A taxi brings you to the door; the airport coach reaches Cannes station in about 45 minutes and the shuttle-plus-train route in about 70. Departure is before 10 am; a later check-out can be requested for an afternoon flight.
An invoice your production accountant will accept
Booked online or on a quote, the stay is invoiced to the company you name, with French VAT itemised on its own line. Delegations can receive one invoice per apartment or one for the group.
Cards from any country
Payment is by card online, with the authentication step your bank imposes, and the same applies to a quote. Nothing has to be paid in cash on site, and no key deposit is handed over at a counter.

Is an apartment a good idea for MIPCOM, or should you stay on the Croisette?
If your company has a stand and a hospitality suite in the Palais, a room next door has obvious appeal, at the rates and in the crowds of market week. An apartment 3 km away answers a different need: a living room where a buyer can watch a pilot without a hotel bar in the background, a kitchen that removes the dependence on restaurant tables, bedrooms with doors, and a terrace to breathe between two days of pitches.
The bill is split across the team on one invoice, the length of stay is yours above the 3-night minimum, and arriving at any hour with a code suits flights from the Americas or Asia. Delegates who come for MIPJunior as well as MIPCOM gain a whole week in a place that feels like a base rather than a corridor.

When should you book accommodation for MIPCOM 2026?
Ideally in the spring, once your badge is confirmed, and no later than the end of the summer. Cannes is a small town for a market of this size and the same week is taken every year; two-bedroom apartments and duplexes are the first to disappear because they suit delegations. The pre-filled availability link covers 2026-10-11 to 2026-10-15; if the apartment you want is gone on those exact nights, moving the arrival to the Saturday or the departure to the Friday often frees an option, and the quote form lets us propose a combination of apartments instead of a refusal. Companies that attend every year can ask, through the same form, to have their apartments held for the 2027 edition before it opens for sale, so that the October week is settled long before the badges are printed.
Can you cover MIPJunior and MIPCOM with a single booking?
Yes, and it is the simplest way to do it. MIPJunior takes place on 10 → 11 October 2026 inside the Palais, MIPCOM follows from the Monday, so one apartment booked from the Friday or Saturday until 2026-10-15 covers the whole sequence: no change of address on the Sunday, no luggage in a hotel store between two check-ins. The combined link starts on the MIPJunior opening day; move the arrival one day earlier in the engine if you want the Friday night as well. The minimum stay of 3 nights is comfortably met, the invoice covers the week in one document, and colleagues who join only for MIPCOM can be added to the same apartment or booked separately. Keep in mind that the Saturday and Sunday nights sell out as quickly as the market nights, since the town fills from the MIPJunior weekend onwards.
How does a production company get one invoice for its whole team?
State the company's name and registered address when you book online or in the quote request; the invoice is then issued to that entity, with French VAT itemised, and sent by e-mail once the stay is over. For a team spread across several apartments you choose between one invoice per apartment, useful when each production carries its own budget, and a single invoice for the group, which many finance departments prefer for a market trip. Payment goes through by card with bank authentication, or against the quote for larger groups. Whether that VAT can later be reclaimed in your country is a matter for your own accountant; our part is to provide a clear, itemised document, in English on request, that answers every question an audit could ask. If the paying entity differs from the one attending, say so at the time of booking rather than after the stay.
