What is Cannes Lions?

Cannes Lions, the International Festival of Creativity, is the annual meeting point of the creative marketing and communications industry: agencies, brands, platforms, media owners and production companies. The organiser describes it as the place where world-class work is awarded, influential leaders take the stage and global connections are made. The 2027 festival runs from 21 to 25 June 2027 at 1 boulevard de la Croisette, the Palais des Festivals, and all around it: talks, live judging sessions, the Awards, networking and learning programmes.

Passes are sold by the organiser to registered professionals, and the biggest brands build experiences beyond the Palais for the week. Evenings are as busy as the days, with award shows and parties along the seafront. On these dates our apartments are booked for at least 2 nights. The 2028 edition is expected in June 2028; its dates will appear here once the organiser has published them.

Who comes to Cannes Lions, and how long do they stay?

Cannes Lions is a festival of teams. Agencies bring creative directors, strategists and account leads, often a dozen people who split their days between talks, client meetings and the evening awards. Brands send their marketing leadership to see agencies and platforms in one place; platforms and media owners host the spaces along the seafront where most of those meetings happen. Production companies, studios and technology firms come to sell, and a younger crowd comes to learn through the festival's own programmes.

For accommodation, that means five nights for most participants, from the Sunday evening to the Friday, with the larger teams landing on the Saturday to set up. At least 2 nights are required on these dates, and late June is already summer in Cannes: the apartments with two or three bedrooms are taken months before the festival, by the same agencies year after year.

What is Cannes like during Cannes Lions week?

The last full week of June is when Cannes switches to summer. The days are long and hot, the beaches are open, and for five days the Croisette turns into an open-air campus of the advertising world: the Palais for the talks and the awards, the seafront for the meetings, the terraces and the beach clubs for everything else. Restaurants in the old town and around the port are booked out on festival evenings, and taxis are hard to find after the ceremonies.

Cannes La Bocca, where Résidence La Palme d'Azur stands, is the beach district on the western side of town: 3 km to the Palais, 100 m to the sand. Both outdoor pools and the bar-restaurant on the pool terrace are open in June, so the end of a festival day can be a swim rather than a hotel corridor. A supermarket and shops sit 300 m up the road, and in the morning the bus along the shore takes you back to the Palais.

  • Palais des Festivals3 km away: 5 minutes by car, or around 10 minutes on bus lines 1 and 2 from a stop two minutes' walk from the gate
  • Along the shoreThe beach is 100 m away, La Croisette 3.5 km, the Old Port 3.2 km
  • RailCannes La Bocca station is a 500 m walk; Cannes Centre, 2.2 km away, is the next stop
  • Nice airport30 km: roughly 25 minutes in a taxi, 45 on the airport coach to Cannes station, 70 with the shuttle and a train
  • DrivingThe residence's own underground car park takes vehicles up to 1.85 m high; book a space with the apartment, kerbside parking is scarce in festival week
  • On site in JuneBoth pools, the loungers around them and the bar-restaurant on the pool terrace are open daily, as they are from April until the end of October

Three things to plan before Cannes Lions week

Book the whole team in the spring. Cannes Lions fills the town in a week already busy with early summer visitors. Apartments with two bedrooms and the duplexes go first because an agency puts four to nine people in them; decide the headcount early and take the Saturday night if anyone sets up a space.

Plan for the heat. Late June is summer on the Riviera. Several apartment types are air-conditioned (the one-bedroom apartments, the two-bedroom sea-view apartment and the superior duplex); the studios and the duplex are not. Keep the pools in mind for the end of the day, and expect the evening events to run late.

Leave the car in the car park. Traffic on the Croisette is slow during festival week; from La Bocca the bus along the sea and taxis are simpler than driving, and our underground car park keeps the vehicle for the week.

Which apartment for a creative, a client team or an agency delegation?

Seven apartment types share one residence with two pools, gardens and the beach 100 m away. All of them come with a kitchen, a private bathroom and a balcony or terrace; the surfaces and capacities below are those of our listings, and each name links to the apartment's own page, photographs and June availability included.

What does an international team need to know before landing in Nice?

Agencies and brands travel to Cannes Lions from every continent, and most of our June guests land at Nice airport on the Sunday afternoon with a schedule already fixed. The residence is organised for that kind of arrival: no desk hours, documents a finance team can process, and a phone line answered in English.

Your keys wait in a secure locker

A personal code is sent before you travel; it opens a locker at the entrance of the residence with your keys inside. Check-in begins at 5 pm and the locker has no closing time, so a late flight or a long awards night changes nothing.

Nice airport, 30 km away

Allow roughly 25 minutes in a taxi to the door; the airport coach reaches Cannes station in about 45 minutes, and shuttle plus train takes around 70. Check-out is before 10 am; ask for a later departure if your flight leaves in the afternoon.

An invoice in the agency's name

Give the company's legal name and address when booking or in the quote request: the invoice goes to that entity with French VAT on its own line, e-mailed after the stay, per apartment or for the whole delegation.

Card payment with bank authentication

Cards issued anywhere are accepted online, with whatever authentication step your bank imposes, and a group quote is paid the same way. There is nothing to settle in cash on arrival and no key deposit to hand over.

A phone team in English and French

No desk, but a team: +33 4 89 41 29 30 answers calls and messages in both languages, whether you need an entry code re-sent, a parking space added or the dates changed mid-festival.

A table to work at, and guest Wi-Fi

Each apartment has a kitchen and space to set up a laptop. Paid guest Wi-Fi passes are available on site, from an hour to a month, with a business option; if you upload heavy files, keep mobile data as a fallback.

Hotel room or apartment

Is an apartment a good idea for Cannes Lions, or should you stay next to the Palais?

Living room and dining table with sea view in a one-bedroom apartment, a quiet place to prepare a Cannes Lions presentation

A hotel beside the Palais puts you in the middle of the festival, at festival-week rates and with a lobby that is a networking event in itself. An apartment 3 km along the shore offers the opposite: a living room to rehearse a pitch, a kitchen so that breakfast does not depend on a queue, bedrooms with doors, and a pool at the end of the day.

For a team the arithmetic is simple. A two-bedroom apartment or a duplex replaces three or four rooms, the invoice is a single document, everyone shares the same entry code, and the evening debrief happens around one table instead of in a hotel bar. The minimum stay is 2 nights; the rest of the calendar is yours.

Agencies and delegations

How do you house an agency delegation of eight or more for Cannes Lions?

Seven colleagues or fewer fit in a single apartment, booked online with the festival dates pre-filled. At eight and above the group configurator takes over: it assembles several apartments in one basket, checks the Cannes Lions nights and prices the set; beyond eighty participants, or for staggered arrivals, invoices split by client and a fleet of cars, a quote request gets an answer within 48 working hours.

What an agency booking includes

  • All the apartments inside one residence, each opened by its own round-the-clock code
  • One person to deal with, in English or French, from the quote to the last check-out
  • Invoicing to the agency, French VAT shown separately, split per apartment or consolidated
  • Spaces in the underground car park reserved alongside the apartments, 1.85 m clearance
Questions from Cannes Lions delegates

Before you book for Cannes Lions

When should you book accommodation for Cannes Lions 2027?

Early in the year, once the festival dates are confirmed, and no later than the spring. Cannes Lions falls in the last full week of June, when the residence is already selling summer stays, so the two-bedroom apartments and the duplexes that suit an agency team are gone months ahead. The pre-filled link covers 2027-06-20 to 2027-06-25, the Sunday before the opening to the Friday of the closing awards; if the type you want is taken on those exact nights, arriving on the Saturday or leaving on the Saturday morning often frees an option, and through the quote form we can put together a mix of apartments instead of saying no. Agencies that return every year use the same form to reserve their apartments for the next festival ahead of the summer sale. Passes and flights are easier to change than a sea-view duplex in June.

Are the pools and the beach usable during Cannes Lions?

Yes. Cannes Lions takes place in the last full week of June, inside the residence's season: both outdoor pools, the loungers and the bar-restaurant on the pool terrace are open daily in June, and the beach of Cannes La Bocca is 100 m from the gate. Their season runs from April through October, so the June festival is one of the few congresses in the Cannes calendar where the pools are part of the stay. In practice most delegates use them at the end of the day, between the last talk and the evening events, or on the Saturday before the opening. The pools are not supervised, which is worth knowing if colleagues bring their families. Guests who prefer a quiet swim to a crowded beach club on the Croisette will find the difference worth the 3 km along the shore.

Can an agency put several apartments on one invoice?

It can. When an agency books online or through the quote form, it names the legal entity to be invoiced and gives its registered address; our invoice then carries that name, shows the French VAT separately, and reaches the accounts department by e-mail after departure. A delegation living in three or four apartments has a choice: a document per apartment, which suits agencies that bill each client account separately, or one consolidated invoice for the trip, the option most finance teams ask for. Settlement is by card online, with the bank's authentication step, or on the quote for the larger groups. We cannot say whether your country will let you recover the VAT, that is your accountant's call; what we can provide is a clear, itemised invoice, in English if you wish, that stands up to an audit. If the company paying is not the company attending, tell us at booking time.

Sources. The festival's dates, venue, audience and programme come from canneslions.com, consulted on 2 September 2026; no attendance figure appears on that page, so none is given here, and the 2028 dates await the organiser. Distances and journey times are indicative, from OpenStreetMap and the transport operators. Pool and restaurant season, air conditioning by apartment type, minimum stays and check-in hours are the residence's conditions on the dates in question and may change.
